The App

Do I have to be a Sharefolio Member in order to use the app?
No. The Sharefolio app is free for everyone to use.

How do I use the Sharefolio app?
If you have the app installed on your device tap on the "i" icon in the lower left hand corner of the main screen. You will be presented with a list of options. Tap on Instructions. There you will find the answer to all of your questions.


The Service

Do I need to have the app to become a member?
No.

If I become a Sharefolio Member how long before people can search for me?
Once you become a Member your information anyone that has the Sharefolio app installed on their device can search for you.

When I update anything in my Folio how soon will my updates appear on a device?
The next time a device with your Folio on it is updated. Devices can be updated manually or they are updated when the app starts.

I've edited information but it is not being saved.
When you are ready to save changes you've made, information you've added or images you've uploaded make sure that you click on the "Save" button located at the bottom of the page you are editing. Note-"This does not apply to re arranging images in a portfolio".

I've added a new portfolio but It is not appearing on a device.
Navigate to the portfolio page by clicking on the portfolio main navigation Icon. When the portfolio page appears find the portfolio in question. Click on the edit icon. Once in the portfolio edit page located In the upper right hand corner of the portfolio edit page you will find a prompt "Portfolio Online:" Make sure that the "yes" option is selected. If it is not select "yes" and save.

How do I create a new portfolio?
Navigate to the portfolio page by clicking on the portfolio main navigation Icon. When the portfolio page appears make sure that the "Portfolio" tab is selected and not the "Client Portfolios" tab. There you will see an option to add a new portfolio. Click on the add an new portfolio option. This will present you with a portfolio edit page. Enter all of the information needed for a new portfolio and click save.

How do I edit a image in a portfolio?
Find the image that you would like to edit. Click on the edit icon. This will present you with a image edit page.

How do I rearrange images in a gallery?
Grab the image that you wish to move with your cursor. Drag it to the desired location and release.

How do I create a new private client gallery?
Navigate to the portfolio page by clicking on the portfolio main navigation icon. When the portfolio page appears make sure that the "Client Portfolios" tab is selected and not the "Portfolios" tab. Locate the name of the client you would like to add a gallery to. Click on the add portfolio option next to the client name. Enter all of the information needed to add a new portfolio and click save.
If the Client name does not exist you need to add the client first. Navigate to the "Clients" page and create a client then follow the directions above.

What size images should I upload?
In each place where you can upload an image there is a suggested upload size "1024x768" for instance. You can upload images large than this or in different dimensions and the server will resize accordingly. If you attempt to upload images that are smaller than the suggested size the image quality will suffer.

I can't add anymore images to a portfolio.
Each Portfolio is limited to 20 images. Make sure that you have not reached the image limit for the portfolio in question.

I can't add anymore portfolios.
If you are on the portfolios page and the "Portfolios tab" is selected. Make sure that you have not reached your limit of 20 portfolios. If you have reached your limit you will need to delete one of your existing portfolios in order to add a new one.
